Park or Play moves into the parking lot. It grows a colorful border along blank walls of adjacent buildings. Quilt-like panels contain fountain jets to emit water from the ground replacing the fire hydrant as water park. Here the run-off is directed to planting strips along the blank building walls. It feeds vines growing on the walls, cooling the building, and visually enriching the surface. Benches fold down from the walls and shade structures expand as pleached tree canopies. In addition, the water jets, modular benches, and canopies provide rhythms in these spaces, a park in a parking lot. Park or Play continues to accommodate cars when the water system is turned off.
