The City of Kirkland, WA has awarded UrbanRock Design the commission to create public artworks in three of the City’s parks- Juanita Beach Park, Edith Moulton Park, and Waverly Beach Park.  The sculptural pieces will seek to have site-specific references while creating a suite of works.  The design phase is expected to commence in a few weeks, with installations coordinated with the City’s construction schedules.

The Calgary Public Art Program has awarded UrbanRock Design an additional contract to further develop the Public Art Master Plan for the new Green Line. Previously, URD created the PAMP for the SouthEast portion of the Green Line. The new work will be to continue and coordinate the Public Art vision and Plan for the North and Central parts of the Green Line. This will be a comprehensive Plan for the entire run of the new line. Research and outreach work on this will begin in March 2017.

UrbanRock Design is thrilled to announce the AIA has accepted Jeanine Centuori as a member of its College of Fellows. Jeanine’s determination and hard work have made UrbanRock Design into a thriving alternative practice. We are proud of her achievement and honored to have such a driving force at the helm of UrbanRock Design.
