The Calgary Public Art Program has awarded UrbanRock Design an additional contract to further develop the Public Art Master Plan for the new Green Line. Previously, URD created the PAMP for the SouthEast portion of the Green Line. The new work will be to continue and coordinate the Public Art vision and Plan for the North and Central parts of the Green Line. This will be a comprehensive Plan for the entire run of the new line. Research and outreach work on this will begin in March 2017.
The Maryland Transit Authority and the Purple Line Art-In-Transit Program named UrbanRock Design as finalists for the Manchester Place Station along the new Purple Line. URD was announced as one of 95 finalists out of 730 entrants competing for public art installations in the 21 new stations in late July. Station concept proposals are due mid-March.
UrbanRock Design is thrilled to announce the AIA has accepted Jeanine Centuori as a member of its College of Fellows. Jeanine’s determination and hard work have made UrbanRock Design into a thriving alternative practice. We are proud of her achievement and honored to have such a driving force at the helm of UrbanRock Design.
